Branding with Music is Not Just About Sales

The business industry is growing vastly with the many rising companies joining the field. Together with this a greater and tougher competition is established between them. Music is known to be a therapeutic method one can employ to feel certain emotions and since this has been proven widely by a lot of studies, businesses have also applied it to increase their sales. The conflict starts in such area since the music industry is starting to lose sense because of the diverted purpose of creation. Business industries have pointed out; however, that the music industry should not be discouraged upon making good music because the purpose is not solely related to just gaining profit but also to establish good rapport among customers. Experts said that the real reason why stores gain more purchases because of branding with music is because the customers feel a sense of security and bond with the establishment. Viewed in the emotional aspect, the music industry then becomes a tool for ensuring close relationships between people.

Modern Vs. Classic Rock

Today there seems to be a major divide between those who like classic rock music, and those who like modern rock and heavy metal. It is strange to think that the one followed from the other. Just take a look at the fans. Fans of classic rock tend to be middle-aged and soulless with no direction in life. They most likely dropped out of school to take drugs because success and rock were considered to be irreconcilable ideals back in the day. Heavy metal fans, on the other hand, if they are true to their beliefs, tend to dress in black. A lot of black. With spikes. And they all look as though they are taking drugs, or at the very least, should be. But often they’re not. Often they are straight A students who achieve great things. Because today rock and success are able to go hand in hand.
